Architect's Rachel Wilson and Kier Bothwell were first introduced by a mutual friend while living in London, England. Two years later, they found themselves working together for a multi-awarded, international architecture and interior design firm in Cape Town, South Africa, before going their separate ways to pursue qualifications and experience in business and the financial sector.

Realising they could not resist the desire to design collaboratively, Rachel and Kier founded ARK Design Group. Merging Rachel's talent for conceptualising and creating bespoke, beautiful forms and visuals with Kier's functional approach and innovative technical abilities, this duo ensure clients are provided a diverse skill-set, inspiring schemes and solutions. Everything the studio produces demonstrates absolute attention to detail and a relentless philosophy of challenging traditional conventions while bettering our everyday lives.

Based in Johannesburg and Cape Town, but with an international mindset, ARK offers design services from a wealth of knowledge gained across a broad variety of project types, scales, locations and budgets. We are a young and motivated studio of professionals eager to develop healthy, long-term relationships.
